A small puncture in the main tread area may be repairable after the tire is removed and inspected. Amp Rescue provides mobile tire repair for eligible punctures at homes, workplaces, parking areas, and safe roadside locations across the Triangle.
Not every flat can be patched. Shoulder or sidewall damage, large punctures, exposed cords, unsafe tread, a blowout, or internal damage from driving while flat usually requires replacement. The final repair decision is made after inspection, not from a photo alone.
Repair depends on the inspection. We will not patch a tire when the damage is outside a safe repair area or the tire is no longer serviceable.

The puncture is small
A puncture larger than 1/4 inch, or about 6 millimeters, is not considered a standard repair candidate.
The tire was not damaged while flat
Driving on a flat tire can damage the sidewall and inner structure even when the original puncture looks small.
The rest of the tire is serviceable
Unsafe tread, exposed cords, cracking, bulges, or other damage can rule out repair.

A small tread puncture may be repairable using an appropriate internal repair after inspection. Sidewall and shoulder damage, blowouts, large punctures, and structurally damaged tires should not be treated as routine patches.
